She was the widow of Roy G. Phillips. ~ A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Alexander and Myra Wood Robbs. A retired assistant dietician at Limestone College, she was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church where she was a member of Dorcus Sunday school class, Senior Citizens, former teacher in the primary department and former WMU director. ~... A retired assistant dietician at Limestone College, she was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church where she was a member of Dorcus Sunday school class, Senior Citizens, former teacher in the primary department and former WMU director. ~ Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Melle Wood of Gaffney; a brother, Gettys Robbs of Bessemer, Ala.; and two granddaughters, Miss Andra Wood of Gaffney, Miss Debbie Wood of Birmingham, Ala. ~ Services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday in Shuford-Hatcher Chapel by the Revs. Tim Turner, Warren Fowler and Sidney Norton. Burial will be in Grassy Pond Baptist Church cemetery. ~ R.V. Robbs, Danford, Lane Bennie and Eckles Phillips, J.C. Bonner, Dewayne and Lyles Humphries, Lamont Hamrick and Edward Sarratt will serve as pallbearers.
