Description	:	Mary Rothrock was the fourth of ten known children of Joseph Rothrock (1775 (or 1776?) - 1848) and his first known wife, Nancy (went by Anna) (last name unknown) (1772-1822) who married c1793 in presumably North Carolina. After Anna died, Joseph remarried to the widow Barbara Palmer Sell (1777-1867), but had no known additional children. Mary married William Henry Hanawalt (went by Henry) (1796-1863) in about 1821 at presumably Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. Henry first visited Indiana in 1833, and again in 1838, when he entered 240 acres of land. In the fall of 1846 he, his wife, and six children moved permanently to a farm north of Burnettsville. Mary and Henry were the parents of ten known children, namely: 1. Joseph Hanawalt (1823-1909) 2. Susannah Hanawalt Grassmyer (1826-1876) 3. George Hanawalt (???-young?) 4. Abraham Hanawalt (1829-1909) 5. John Hanawalt (c1831-1863) 6. Isaac M. Hanawalt (1833-1889) 7. William Hanawalt (1835-c1866) 8. Nancy A. Hanawalt (1838-1855) 9. Mary Hanawalt (???-???) 10.
