Description	:	Mary Ruth Hite Booe, 86, of 808 E. Eighth St., died at 6:50 A.M. Friday, June 19, 1987, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center Hospice Unit. She has been in failing health for the past two years and a patient in Mt. Carmel Medical Center for two weeks. She was born Oct. 2, 1900 in Crawford County to Albert M. and Florence Daisy Kennedy Judd. Read More	Mary Ruth Hite Booe, 86, of 808 E. Eighth St., died at 6:50 A.M. Friday, June 19, 1987, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center Hospice Unit. She has been in failing health for the past two years and a patient in Mt. Carmel Medical Center for two weeks. She was born Oct. 2, 1900 in Crawford County to Albert M. and Florence Daisy Kennedy Judd. She resided in the Girard-Pittsburg area all her life, and had resided in her home on East Eighth since 1933. She married Lewis A. Hite in 1920 in Girard, and he died in 1938. She married Douglas H. Booe Feb. 25, 1962, and he died Nov. 23, 1980. Mrs. Booe worked at the Kansas Ordnance Plant at Parsons during the war. She also worked as a sales clerk at Newmans, then at the Post Office for 15 years before retiring in 1963. She was a member of the South Broadway Baptist Church, American Association of Retired Persons, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, American Legion Auxiliary and the Telephone Company Pioneers Auxiliary. She had been active in the Ruth Circle of the church and the Triple L Sunday School Class. Survivors include one son, Lewis A. Hite of Jefferson City, MO; three daughters, Pearl Boatright of 508 W. First St., Florence Hite of the home and Dorotha Robertson of Cherryvale; two step-sons, Marion Booe of Parsons and Charles Booe of Route 2 Pittsburg; one step-daughter, Doris Lemon of Kansas City; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 28 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Her parents; one son, George Hite; one step-son, Junior Booe; two brothers, Edwin Judd and Ernest Judd; and two grandsons died before her. Services will be 2 P.M. Monday, June 22, 1987 at the South Broadway Baptist Church, with the Pastor George E. Powers officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3 to 4 P.M. Sunday at the Bath Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday, and the casket will remain closed.
