Description	:	Pearl M. Boatright Pearl M. Boatright, 82, of Pittsburg, died at 1:05 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the Freeman Health Center in Joplin, Mo. She was born Sept. 24, 1922, in Girard, to Lewis and Mary Ruth (Judd) Hite. She attended area schools, graduating from Pittsburg High School. She went on to Kansas State Teachers College (known today as PSU) for one and a half years. On Jan. 24, 1942, she married Carl E. Boatright in Pittsburg. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992. Boatright in Pittsburg. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the South Broadway Baptist Church in Pittsburg where she held various positions on the church board. She also was a member of the NALC Association, Ruth Circle of South Broadway Baptist Church; AARP and NARFE. Survivors include a son, Phillip Boatright of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Karen Hahn of Ida, La., Sue Burk of Salinas, Calif., and Jane Homer of Miami, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Terry Boatright; two brothers, Lewis and George Hite; sisters, Florence Hite and Dorotha Robertson; step-father, Charles Booe; and a granddaughter, Rebekah Boatright. Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at the South Broadway Baptist Church, with Pastor Joel Hahn officiating.
