Description	:	Mary Ruth Davis, daughter of Omer and Mattie Vest of Beckley, W. Va., was born July 7, 1926, in Eunice, W. Va., and died Jan. 1, 1973 at Orono, Me., after a lingering illness. She was united in marriage to Darrell A. Davis March 27, 1945 (in Chicago, IL). Va., and died Jan. 1, 1973 at Orono, Me., after a lingering illness. She was united in marriage to Darrell A. Davis March 27, 1945 (in Chicago, IL). Four children were born to this union - John, Martha, Teresa and Darrell, Jr. Mary was an active member of the United Methodist church until her health failed. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be missed by family and friends. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Darrell, son John and daughter-in-law Lorna Davis of St. Paul, Minn.; daughter Martha and son-in-law Terry Coffey of Lincoln; Teresa and Darrell, Jr., of the home. Also surviving are two granddaugthers, Shellie Davis and Kristie Coffey; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Vest, Beckley, W., Va.; brothers - Dr. James Vest, St. Louis, Mo.; Dr. Bruce Vest, Alton, Ill.; Dr. Frank Vest, Beckley, W. Va.; Gene Vest, Marion, Ill.; Glen Vest, Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Clide Browder, Bluefield, W. Va.; othrs relatives and many friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, from the Zulauf-Banta Chapel with Rev. Charles Richardson officiating. Owen was vocalist accompanied by Mrs. Jack Hardin, organist. Casket bearers were Richard Heft, Robert Stevenson, Ben Anderson, Richard Hayes, Carl Hoover and Victor Meier. Interment was in the Alma Cemetery. Zulauf-Banta Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
