McFarlane, who (as we announced in last week's GAZETTE) had been seized with a paralytic stroke, at the residence of her sister, Mrs Gilbert Moir, succumbed to the disease on Saturday last. Mrs McFarlane was a sister of Mr William Snedden and of Mrs Gilbert Moir, of Almonte, and of Mr John Snedden, of Bennie's Corners. She was 66 years of age. She had been a sufferer for the past three years, and in spite of careful nursing and every attention that loving hands could bestow, she was called away before she had reached the allotted span of life. her long illness was borne with Christian patience, and she departed in the certain hope of a blessed immortality. We tender our sincere sympathy to the family, who have thus been twice bereaved within a year. The funeral on Tuesday last was a very large one.
