Description	:	Mary Stahly was born to Isaac and Anna Stahly, August 16, 1853 in Switzerland and passed away from this life at her home in Milford, Nebraska on April 29, 1934, aged, 80 years eight months and eleven days. Read More	Mary Stahly was born to Isaac and Anna Stahly, August 16, 1853 in Switzerland and passed away from this life at her home in Milford, Nebraska on April 29, 1934, aged, 80 years eight months and eleven days. For fifteen, years she lived near the Alps, of which she so often spoke of later in life. These years were taken up in attending school, helping her parents and fulfilling the other functions of a youth of her time. In 1868 she took leave of her native land and in company with her parents cams to Danvers, Illinois. On March 14, 1871, she was united in marriage to John Stahly, a fellow countryman, whom she loved and honored until his death in June, 1915. Eight children were born to this union six of whom live to mourn her passing and to honor her memory. Two preceded her in death, Samuel, who died in infancy and Oscar in middle life. On May 8 1923 she was united in marriage to Albert Barbezat. Sister Barbezat was a devoted wife, a kindly parent and a helpful and sympathetic friend. Early in life she was converted and became a member of the Defenseless Mennonite church, later transferring her membership to the M. B. C. church, of which she remained a faithful and loyal member until death. Her many Christian associates have known the warmth and richness of her kindly and helpful nature. She leaves to mourn her passing and revere her memory, her husband,. Albert Barbezat; six children, Joel, Chris, Herman and Peter of Milford, Albert of Stratton, Nebraska; Mrs. Esther Hygema of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Ella Miller of Milford, who was taken into the home at the age of nine. There are three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Rose Duccumon and Mrs. Lillie Kaiser of Oleghom, Iowa; Emma and Dan of Yuma, Colorado; Herman of Elpino, South Dakota; and Will of Dix, Nebraska. There are twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren besides many other relatives and a host of friends. During her eight weeks of illness she suffered much, but bore it all with Christian patience and cheerfulness. Her thoughtfulness, and concern for others were a constant source of inspiration to all that were with her. At 7:55 p. m. Sunday, April 29, 1934, surrounded by her loved ones, her soul went to be with Jesus. She died rich in grace and Christian love.
