Read More	Joel married Amelia Stahly on April 5, 1894. The couple were the parents of Edward, Grant, John, May (Sundberg), Mabel (Carpenter), Homer, Clinton, and Anna. Joel Stahly was born April 22, 1872 in McLean County, Illinois and departed tills life at is home west of Milford, Nebraska, January 23, 1947 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and one day. In 1884 he with his parents John M. and Mary Stahly, moved from Illinois to Seward County Nebraska where he has lived since that time. On April 5, 1894 he was united in marriage to Amelia S. Stahly. To this union were born eight children, of whom two, Anna and Homer, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Amelia, six children. Edward of Saginaw Michigan, Grant of Columbus, Ohio and John, May. Mabel and Clinton of Milford, Nebr.: two brothers. Herman and Peter, both of Milford and one sister. Esther Hygema of Clarinda, Iowa. He also leaves ten grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends to mourn his departure. Joel was converted at the age of twenty-one years under the ministry of Rev. Jacob Hygema and two years later became a charter member of the newly organizes Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church near Milford. Since that time he has remained a faithful member of this church and been a leader, not only in the local church and conference but county and state Sunday School work as well as in community civic enterprises. Twenty-three years ago he became afflicted with a heart disease which since that time has greatly limited his activity and finally resulted in his death. Châtelain of Peru, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred, Mrs. Stahly, Evelyn Engle, Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton Mr. and Mrs. Vernol Stahly, Mr. Alvni Stahly Mrs. Vera Simons and daughter, Mrs. Emma Short hose, Mr. Will Rich, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rich, Mrs. Selma Platt and children, of Newton, Kansas; Mr. All Stahly and Mr. Ulysses Stahly of Danvers, Illinois; Mr. W. E. Stahly of Dix, Nebraska; Mr. Johnnie Sundberg, the Misses Anna, Margaret and Hazel Sundberg and Miss Ella Miller of Stromsburg, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Anderson of Walton, Nebr.; Mrs. Esther Hygema of Clarinda, Iowa; Dr. E.
