Mrs. Hlas was born August 21, 1893, at Clutier, the daughter of John and Mary (Vondrak) Linhart and received her education in the Clutier area. She was a homemaker following her marriage to Charles Hlas and the couple lived in the rural Elberon area. Mr. Hlas died December 31, 1975. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vining, until she entered Beverly Manor in 1974. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband was a son, Charles, and a sister, Agnes Havran. Surviving are a son, Milo of Belle Plaine; a daughter, Blanche Kalinay of Tama; one brother, Fred Linhart of Toledo and a sister, Emma Smolik of Traer; also 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
