"Wm Reform and Mary Tyler Mullenger came from London, England to Canada, then down to Sabula, Iowa by steamboat on the Mississippi River. They started out for Omaha in a covered wagon. Because of bad weather, Wm. Reform left his family and continued by himself. He ran out of money, so he walked towards Omaha. He stopped at Exira [Iowa] and decided to stay. His family joined him and he became a blacksmith for several years. His shop was located east of the present Purina Road. Mary came down... She is buried in the Exira cemetery. Wm. Refor left Exira, leaving behind all his children except Emma, who traveled withhim, along with his new wife, a Barlett of Exira. They lived in Louisianna and then Oregon. They had 5 children, all of which died of infantile paralysis. Wm. Reform died and was buried in Oregon." "Children of Wm. Reform and MAry Tyler Mullenger: Son: Wm. George, moved to Denison, Iowa (Sonna Reed's grandfather). Daughter: Mary Barnes, lived south of Evergreen Hill Stock Farm, then moved to Oregon. Son: Robert Walter, raised by Kremblings and kept Mullenger name (grandfather of Jim Mullenger). Son: Fred, raised by Kremblings and took that name, moved to California and died in a car accident. Son: James, at age 24 died while trying to board a freight train near Kansas City. Son: Charles moved to Washington State, no children. Daughter: Emma, no information on what happened to her."
