Description	:	Mary Unity Dillon, former resident of Lexington, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1986, at the Westminister-Canterbury in Virginia Beach. She was born Nov. 12, 1902, in Indian Rock in Botetourt County. She attended Chatham Episcopal Institute and was graduated from Hollins College in 1924. As a young person she lived with her family in Lexington. She was a career librarian, having worked in the Brooklyn, N.Y. She was born Nov. 12, 1902, in Indian Rock in Botetourt County. She attended Chatham Episcopal Institute and was graduated from Hollins College in 1924. As a young person she lived with her family in Lexington. She was a career librarian, having worked in the Brooklyn, N.Y. Public Library, and received a degree in library science from Columbia University. In 1964 she went to Washington, D.C. where she worked at the District of Columbia Library. She retired from the Montgomery County, Md., library in Silver Spring, Md. After her official retirement she was asked to set up a library for the visually handicapped in Bethesda, Md. For a number of years after her retirement she was a summer resident of Lexington. She is survived by a brother, retired Army Lt. Col. Edward Dillon and a sister, Susan P. Dillon, both of Westminister-Canterbury in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. D. Holmes Irving, Jr, officiating.
