She was the wife of the late Frank M. Poole. Born July 1, 1910, in Dawsonville, she was a daughter of the late Lester S. and Nellie Hickman Young. Surviving are five children, Charles L. Poole and Ray F. Poole, both of Dickerson, William R. Poole of Poolesville, Mary D. Woodfield of Rockville, and L[e]nwood H. Poole of Georgia; one sister, Alta Y. Poole of Bethesda; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Mae Poole; and one brother, Theodore H. Young. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dickerson United Methodist Church, 20341 Dickerson Road, Box 66, Dickerson, Md. 20842.
