Description	:	On the 25th of November, 1901, Mary Younger Palmer fell into that long sleep from which there is no waking. She had been sick but a short time with a severe cold, and her demise was quite unexpected. Mrs. Palmer was of Scotch origin, having been born in Berwickshire, Scotland, in 1818, on the 18th day of March. In 1844 she married Alexander B. Palmer and emigrated to America with him in 1853, settling in Ohio where they made their home for nine years, when they again turned their faces westward residing in Illinois for ten year and coming in 1872... Read More	On the 25th of November, 1901, Mary Younger Palmer fell into that long sleep from which there is no waking. She had been sick but a short time with a severe cold, and her demise was quite unexpected. Mrs. Palmer was of Scotch origin, having been born in Berwickshire, Scotland, in 1818, on the 18th day of March. In 1844 she married Alexander B. Palmer and emigrated to America with him in 1853, settling in Ohio where they made their home for nine years, when they again turned their faces westward residing in Illinois for ten year and coming in 1872 to Nebraska, where their home has since been. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Palmer, all of them surviving their parents. Mrs. Palmer survived her husband scarce three years. In her early life she gave herself to God and was an honored member of the Congregational Church at this place at the time of her death. Owing to the absence from town of her pastor, Rev, R. N. Orrill conducted the funeral services from the house on Tuesday afternoon. A very large gathering of friends testified by their presence to their reapect for the dead and their sympathy for the living. All that was mortal of her was laid beside her husband in the Fairfield Cemetery to await the coming of the Lord.
