Description	:	Mathilda was born in Yliharma, Finland to Hedvig Huhtala, a single mother. While there she worked as a piika (maid on a farm). She immigrated alone from Finland to Washington State on the Saint Louis through Ellis Island on April 27, 1902. In Washington she met and married Matti Wiita Reini, also from Yliharma, Finland. They raised a family in and around Issaquah, WA and ran a boarding house for newly immigrated Finns in Seattle. She was survived by her sons George and Louie, daughter Aune, granddaughters Viola, Jean and Janis, in addition to a large extended family. She was... Mathilda was a very hard-working, kind woman who took a great risk coming to the US alone, but was greatly rewarded with a better life for doing so. May she rest in peace.
