Paul Rowoldt conducting the rites with burial Valley View Cemetery, Genoa Ne. She was born December 8, 1889 at Edgar, Nebraska. to John and Sophia (Gabriel) Peterson. She married August Burke February 28, 1912 in Greeley, ne. In 1919 they moved to rural Genoa and were engaged in farming until retirement in 1956. Survivors in clude four daughters, Mrs. Lester (Elver) Cromwell, Genoa, Mrs Stewart (Pauline) Smith and Mrs Earl (Bernice) Rankin, both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Clar, Omaha, daughter-in-law, Viola Burke Columbus, a sister, Mrs. Frank (Hazel) Noonan Scotia, Ne; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sons Clarence and Edward, brothers, August and Ernest and one died in infancy, sister Mrs. Joe (Florence) Murphy.
