He was born in Chelsea July 27, 1904, son of Albert and Lydia (MacKay) Heim. He was unmarried. He spent his entire life in Chelsea, living on the family homestead until nine years ago when failing health made it necessary for him to live with his brothers, Bernal and Orace. Read More	Maurice Croaker Heim 1987 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Maurice Croaker Heim of Chelsea occurred at the South Shore Regional Hospital on Monday morning, June 8, 1987. He was born in Chelsea July 27, 1904, son of Albert and Lydia (MacKay) Heim. He was unmarried. He spent his entire life in Chelsea, living on the family homestead until nine years ago when failing health made it necessary for him to live with his brothers, Bernal and Orace. He was an ardent woodsman, well known for his carved wooden crafts, pieces have gone as far as California, Florida, British Columbia and the northern part of Canada. During Canada's Centennial Year, he expressed his loyalty to his country by hand-carving one hundred miniature ox yokes and distriburted one to each household in Chelsea. He is survived by three brothers, Bernal and Orace, both of Chelsea; Anzel of New Elm; three sisters, Antionette (Mrs. Stuart Meisner), Stanley Section; Mabel (Mrs. Walter Henley) ,Bridgewater; and Vina (widow of Rev. Harold Hopper), Athens, Ontario, survived Maurice but herself passed away July 7, 1987 and was buried in Ontario. He was predeceased by four brothers, Zola, James, Willis, and Arnold; and a sister, Jessie. The funeral was held from the Chelsea United Baptist Church with Lic. Christopher Ryan officiating. Hymns sung by the church choir were "Breathe On Me, Breath of God" and "The Lord's My Shepherd." Burial was in the Chelsea Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Zwicker, Glendon Frauzel, Gavin Frauzel, Frederic Aulenback, Gordon Heim, and John Veinot. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
