Although in failing health for a number of years, he kept busy with his chores, working in the woodlot being his greatest pleasure. Besides his family, Willis had many dear friends and relatives, who will miss him greatly. His home was always open to all his friends,and he enjoyed company at all times. During his early years, he travelled extensively throughout Canada and the United States,and enjoyed discussing his travels with his family and friends. Willis attended faithfully services at the United Baptist Church, whenever health permitted. He was the son of the late Albert C. Heim and Lydia (MacKay) Heim and was born at Chelsea. He leaves to mourn his passing, his sorrowing wife, Nellie (Wile); three sons, Albert, Arthur, and Arnold, all of Ontario; and one daughter, Elsa (Mrs. Gerald Veinot), of West Northfield. One daughter predeceased him in infancy. Surviving are four sisters, Jessie of Bridgewater; Antionette (Mrs. Stewart Meisner) of Stanley Section; Vina, wife of Rev. Harold Hopper of Toledo, Ontario; and Mabel (Mrs. Walter Henley) of Chelsea; four brothers, Bernal, Orace, and Maurice, all of Chelsea and Anzil of New Elm. Three brothers predeceased him, Zola, James, and Arnold. He had seven grandchildren, Susan, Sandra, Timothy, and Philip, all of Ontario; and Bonnie, Michelle, and Denyse of West Northfield. Funeral service, held on October 20th, at the Chelsea Baptist church, was largely attended, showing the esteem in which the deceased was held. His pastor, Lic. Aulenback, spoke comforting words to the fmaily, based on John 14 and Psalm 23. He was assisted by Rev. Harold Hopper, who offered prayer. The hymn, "The Last Mile of the Way," a favourite of Willis, was reverently sung by the choir. Lic. Aulenback rendered beautifully a special request by Mrs. Heim, "Saved By Grace." The floral tributes were many and beautiful and donations were made to the Baptist church,the cemetery fund, and the heart fund. Interment was made at the Chelsea Cemetery.
