Description	:	The Lyon County News and The Emporia Times, 04 Nov 1904, Friday The four-year-old child of Johns S. White died Tuesday evening at the home seven miles northwest of Emporia. The child died of diphtheria and was buried in the Americus cemetery. As the family is under quarantine the funeral was a quiet one. Two other children in the family are ill with the same disease but both are recovering. Three other children in the family have been immunized by doses of antitoxine (sic) and it is thought they will not contract the disease. ...
