A truck driver by trade, he was the son of John Marion. and Myrtle J. Poncy Breon, born in Ottumwa March 15, 1922. He was a life-long resident here. Poncy Breon, born in Ottumwa March 15, 1922. He was a life-long resident here. An Army veteran of World War II, he entered the service Dec. 21, 1942, at Camp Dodge, and was discharged Dec. 28, 1945, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He was married to Lois Irene McFarland on Feb. 6, 1941, at Lancaster, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerry M. Breon of Ottumwa, and Pfc. Jack E. Breon, who is stationed with the U.S. Army; four daughters, Patricia A., Bonnie L., Kathleen K., and Dixie L., all at home; one grandson, David Breon of Ottumwa; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Breon of Ottumwa; three brothers, John and Jesse of Ottumwa and Frank of Muscatine; a half-brother, Mercle Feeney of Ottumwa; and three sisters, Mrs. Martha Remaley of New London, Mrs. Delores Wilkins of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Uldine Chandler of California. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and one half-brother. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Billy Pool of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Huffman, Charles Randall, Neal Caudron, Jerry Woten, Max King, Clive Hornback Jr.
