Description	:	Maxine Delores Harms Wilkinson July 09, 1927 to September 20, 2006 Maxine Delores Harms Wilkinson, age 79, formerly of Anamosa and Cedar Rapids, died early Wednesday morning, September 20, 2006 at the Grundy Care Center, Gundy Center, Iowa following a brief illness. Private family services will be held on Saturday morning at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa where the family will receive friends from 9 until 11:00. She was preceded in death by her Parents, and 2 brothers, Marvin and Ralph Harms. Maxine Delores Harms was born July 9, 1927 at Goodland, Kansas. She was the daughter of William and Henrietta Zimmerman, Harms. Maxine received her early education in the Amber, Iowa schools. She graduated from the Anamosa Community High School with the class of 1945. She later attended Capri Cosmetology School in Cedar Rapids. Maxine had been employed by the Iowa Men's Reformatory, Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids and the Iowa City Press Citizen. Maxine Delores Harms and Roy Wilkinson were married September 4, 1949 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. The couple lived in Iowa City, Anamosa and Hiawatha before returning to Anamosa to raise their family. Maxine was employed at Mickey's Model Shop for many years. Maxine was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and poet. Her other passion in life was being an AA mentor.
