Description	:	MARYSVILLE --- Maxine L. Behrens, 83, Marysville, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Wichita. Mrs. Behrens was a telephone operator in Irvine in the late 1930s and early 1940s and later worked in floral shops in Blue Rapids and Marysville. She was born July 26, 1918, in Irving, the daughter of Harry and Mae Durgin Frank. She graduated from Irving High School in 1935. She moved to Marysville in the late 1970s. Read More	MARYSVILLE --- Maxine L. Behrens, 83, Marysville, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Wichita. Mrs. Behrens was a telephone operator in Irvine in the late 1930s and early 1940s and later worked in floral shops in Blue Rapids and Marysville. She was born July 26, 1918, in Irving, the daughter of Harry and Mae Durgin Frank. She graduated from Irving High School in 1935. She moved to Marysville in the late 1970s. Mrs. Behrens was a member of the Moose Lodge in Marysville, the auxiliary to the American Legion Post in Irving, the Home Demonstration Unit in Irving and she had been a Girl Scout leader. She married Leo C. Behrens on Feb. 18, 1942. He died March 2, 1983. Mrs. Behrens also was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Sawyer. Survivors include two daughters, Carol A. Babcock, Washington, and Betty J. Behrens, Wichita; five sisters, Loma Wager, Marysville, Thelma Hudson, Roseberg, Ore., Mae Aileen Hantak, St. Louis, Phyllis Luck, Olathe, and Joan Spunaugle, Frankfort; a brother, Charles Frank, Coos Bay, Ore.; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgranddaughter. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Burial will be in Marysville Cemetery. Mrs. Behrens will lie in state at the mortuary from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
