Mrs. Moir, the former MayBelle Rose Simmons was born March 17, 1894 in Sioux City to James and Mahalath Hard Simmons. She attended Central high school in Sioux City: She married Carl Moir, August 25, 1920 in Sioux City. The couple lived in Le Mars for one year and then moved to Akron. Mr. Moir died in 1970. She was a seamstress, pianist and bookkeeper. She devoted her entire life to her family and especially to her son Ronnie. Survivors include two daughters, Lois Clark of Tempe, Arizona, and June Heeren of Akron; one son, Ronnie Moir of Akron; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
