They were the parents of Leone, Lucille, Woodrow, Margaret, Dorothy and Mary Catherine. November 9, 1931 - Carroll Daily Herald - Mrs. William Drey of Early, a former Carroll girl, died yesterday afternoon in her home. She had been in poor health for a number of years and had been afflicted with heart trouble since June, which was the cause of her death. November 9, 1931 - Carroll Daily Herald - Mrs. William Drey of Early, a former Carroll girl, died yesterday afternoon in her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock in the Catholic church at Early. Requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Father Joseph Dalhoff. Mayme Lucey, who was about 50 years old, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lucey. She married William Drey and for many years after their marriage the couple made their home in Carroll. They moved to Early 8 or 10 years ago. Surviving are the husband and the following children: Leone, Lucille, Woodrow, Margaret, Dorothy and Mary Catherine. She also leaves two brothers, Ed Lucey of Storm Lake, and John Lucey. Another brother, Jerry, died a year ago. Mrs. Lucey was a devout member of the Catholic church and was also affiliated with the local court St. Rose of Lima, Catholic Daughters of America and with the American Legion auxiliary of Early. A number of Carroll friends are planning to attend the funeral.
