March 16, 1894 page 1, column 4 GONE TO HER REWARD ------------------------------ After a short illness of about a weeks' duration from measles, Mrs. Malinda J. Francis, widow of John Y. Francis, died at her home four miles north of this city on Thursday, March 8th. The funeral was conducted from the family residence on Sunday afternoon. The funeral sermon being preached by Rev. Wyckoff, pastor of the M.E. church of this city, and the remains were laid to rest in the Sterling Cemetery and the attendance of friends was very large. The deceased was 52 years of age and moved to Nebraska from Ohio with her husband and family only a few years ago. Her husband died about a year and a half ago. She leaves eleven children, all but two of whom are grown, to mourn her death; and the SUN with a host of friends and acquaintances extend their most sincere sympathy.
