Description	:	Melvin Wright, of Sioux City, Iowa, a former resident of Lake View, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 24, 1928, of angina pectoria. He had been in failing health for about two years, but his sudden death was a great shock to the family. Melvin R. Wright was born in Clinton County, Iowa on April 7, 1867, and was the last one of a family of five children. He was united in marriage April 6, 1886, to Ida M. Eaton at Sac City, Iowa. He had been in failing health for about two years, but his sudden death was a great shock to the family. Melvin R. Wright was born in Clinton County, Iowa on April 7, 1867, and was the last one of a family of five children. He was united in marriage April 6, 1886, to Ida M. Eaton at Sac City, Iowa. For a time they made their home in Lake View, where Mr. Wright was employed in a creamery. Later he conducted a creamery at Herring, Iowa. To their union were born seven children, two passing to the Great Beyond in infancy. Those surviving him besides his wife are four sons, Harvey, Bert and Ray of Wall Lake, and Clifford of Lake View, and one daughter, Mrs Faye Janssen, of Lake City, besides a number of other relatives, among whom are 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a kind and faithful husband and father and loved by all who knew him. The funeral was held last Thursday afternoon from the Harvey Wright home in Wall Lake at 1:30 o'clock and from the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock. Burial was made in the Wall Lake Cemetery. Among those attending the funeral outside of the immediate relatives, were Mr and Mrs. H. B. Williamson, Mr and Mrs. Al Eaton, Ann Eaton and Kimble Eaton of Lake View, Geo. Eaton, wife and two daughters of Sac City and Richard Eaton and John Harmon and wife of Minnesota.
