(Radspinner) Argabright. , Scott being the 1st of 2 sons. , Scott graduated from Nemaha High School in 1945 and from the Univ. of NE. in 1951. Scott and Dorthy Ann Dirks married Aug. 24, 1949 at Dorothy's home near Martin South Dakota. they met in college. After graduating from College they farmed in Nemaha County for 5 years. In Nov. 1955, he joined the U.S. Soil Conservation Service in S.D. and served as District Conservationist, Area Conservantionist, State Agronomist, and State Resouuce Conservationist at various locations in S.D. In 1980 Scott and Dorthy moved to Lincoln, NE. and worked until 1992 when he retired from SCS. They were members of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. A past member of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Genealogical Society and worked as a volunteer at the Ne. State Historical Society for 12 years. He is survived by his wife Dorthy; sons, and wifes, Norman and Cherrie of KS. and Patrick and Karen of N.J. daughters and husbands. Virginia of NE. and Diana and Martin Schweitzer of NE. and Elsie of N.J. brother in law and wife Denman and Leah Dirks of S.D. 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services held Dec. 30th. at the Methodist Church and Interment on Dec. 30 in the Nemaha Cemetery near Nemaha, NE.
