Bud was born on July 28, 1931 in Burbank, SD to Clifford and Selma (Martinson) Isaacson. Bud was raised and attended grade school in Burbank, SD. Read More	♫~~~♫~~~♫~~~♫~~~♫~~~♫~~~♫~~~♫ Merle "Bud" Isaacson, 77 of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Burbank, SD, died July 20, 2009 at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. Bud was born on July 28, 1931 in Burbank, SD to Clifford and Selma (Martinson) Isaacson. Bud was raised and attended grade school in Burbank, SD. He graduated from Vermillion High School in 1949, and married Marilyn Girard on June 27, 1957 at St Agnes Church in Vermillion. They spent the majority of their life in the Burbank area. In 1985 Bud and Marilyn moved to Las Vegas, NV where he spent the remainder of his life. Bud entered the United States Navy in 1952 and served as a Radio Operator during the Korean War in the Pacific Ocean on the USS Suisun. He was honorably discharged in February of 1956. Bud spent most of his career in construction, operating a motor grader in both South Dakota and Nevada, and retired on July 7, 2008 at the age of 76. Bud enjoyed gardening, following his grandchildren's activities and spending time with his family. Bud, along with his family, spent many summers at their cabin on the Missouri River in Vermillion, boating, fishing and barbequing ribs. Bud is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Las Vegas, NV four sons; Robert (friend Elaine) of Las Vegas, Rick (Joni) of Salt Lake City, UT, Randy (Mary) and Rollie (Susan) all of Vermillion; and one daughter, Rhonda Dutton (Dan) of Beech Bluff, TN; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Others special in Bud's life are former daughter-in-law, Deb Isaacson, and "sister" Karen (Sorensen) Prusha. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Martin. Memorial services will be 5:00 pm Friday, August 14, with a rosary starting at 4:30 pm all at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion. Burial of ashes will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Vermillion.
