Description	:	(Picture) Mildred Alene Penwell, 94, of Buchanan, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at her home. She was born Aug. 15, 1918 in Buchanan to the late Joseph and Agnes Proud. She was a lifetime resident of the Buchanan area and was a member of Buchanan Christian Church. On March 25, 1939, in Dowagiac, she married Harry Penwell who has preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Danny Penwell. Surviving family includes her daughter, Janet Seals of Buchanan; daughter-in-law, Gloria Penwell of Jenison, Mich.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Tuesday,...
