Read More	Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, Colorado, January 3, 2008 Mildred Faye Chandler was born January 2, 1935 at home near Holyoke in Phillips County, the youngest of eight children born to Ray and Opal Chandler. After the loss of her father when she was 18 months old, she moved with her mother, sister and brothers from the farm to Holyoke, where she lived her life in the vicinity. Mildred died December 19 in Holyoke with her loving family around her. She attended grade school and high school in Holyoke and married Jack Maurice Saylor of Holyoke on March 21, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico. Together, they made their home in the Holyoke area where they farmed and ranched. To this union six children were born, Heidi, Jody, Kathy, Jerilyn, Nick and Tillie. Mildred became a member of the First Christian Church when she was 12 years old. She was blessed with a very loving family from the beginning of her life to the end. She dealt with various health issues her whole life, which only made her a more wonderful person. She touched many people's lives and will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, husband Jack on September 2, 1992, three brothers, one sister, two brothers-in-law, a niece and a nephew. Mildred is survived by children Heidi McCreery and husband Jerry of Fort Morgan; Jody Merrill and husband Kenny of Oberlin, Kansas; Kathy Wolfe and husband Richard of Sterling; Jerilyn Coyne and husband Barry, Nick Saylor and wife Sandy, Tillie Fisbeck and husband Lennie, all of Holyoke; nine grandchildren, Justie and Brook Coyne, Chelsey Saylor, Kayla Knight and husband Kolt, Sierra and Cameron McCreery, Ethan and Emma Merrill and Marcus Wolfe; three sisters, Bonnie Hogsett, Myra Sherwood and Mona Bryant; best friend and cousin Jean Widgery; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held December 21 at the First Christian Church in Holyoke with Pastor Jim Blake officiating. Interment followed at Holyoke Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mildred Saylor Memorial Fund in care of Tillie Fisbeck, 826 S. Belford, Holyoke, CO 80734. Gerk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
