Description	:	Mildred F. (Barnes-Shaw) Marshall, of El Dorado, formerly of Eureka, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Lakepoint Nursing Center, in El Dorado at the age of 92. She was born on July 26, 1919, in Greenwood County, the daughter of P.L. and Margaret Ethel (Snider) Barnes. In 1944, she married Hollace B. Shaw. He worked for Boeing Aircraft and they lived in Eureka, Later they lived in California and Seattle, Washington, before returning to Eureka upon his retirement. Hollace preceded her in death in 1976. (Barnes-Shaw) Marshall, of El Dorado, formerly of Eureka, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Lakepoint Nursing Center, in El Dorado at the age of 92. She was born on July 26, 1919, in Greenwood County, the daughter of P.L. and Margaret Ethel (Snider) Barnes. In 1944, she married Hollace B. Shaw. He worked for Boeing Aircraft and they lived in Eureka, Later they lived in California and Seattle, Washington, before returning to Eureka upon his retirement. Hollace preceded her in death in 1976. She married Wilbur E. Marshall in 1980. He preceded her in death in 1989. Millie worked at Greenwood County Hospital for three years in dietary. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka for many years and loved her Lord, her Church, and her family. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. She had been living at Lakepoint in El Dorado since 2005. Millie is survived by one son, Hollis W. Shaw of Humptulips, Washington; daughter, Dolores and husband, Charles W. Curnutt of El Dorado; sisters, Ila and husband, Howard Clements of El Dorado; Maxine Miller of Eureka; and Berniece White of Shenandoah, Texas; step-son, Robin Marshall of Spring Hill; two grandchildren, Aaron M. Curnutt and family of El Dorado; Carri L. Curnutt and family of Towanda; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Wanda Nelson, and brothers, Harold, Clyde, and Merle Barnes. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Caughey of Grace Lutheran Church of El Dorado officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
