She grew up near Stockport, IA where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1943. Mildred was united in marriage to Lloyd Ingalls on June 25, 1944 in Fairfield, IA. They soon began their family and became loving parents to three children. Mildred loved her job as homemaker and mother. As the children grew older, Mildred entered the workforce. She began working for Universal Producing and the Fairfield Glove Factory. Mildred spent much of her free time on quilting, sewing, and needle work. It was a hobby that turned into a passion and led to many beautiful pieces. Mildred always held close to her faith and was an active member of the Suburban Heights Baptist Church for many years. She was a mentor to many, and always set a good example for other members of the church. Mildred grew up in a generation that worked hard and held close to what they were given. She continued this throughout her life, and always did so with dignity and class. She was a loving woman with a tender heart, who will be missed by her family and the many who called her friend. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Lloyd Ingalls (1998), and her infant son, Timothy Mark. Left to honor her memory are her daughters, Donna and Pamela; one granddaughter, Jaime (Theron) and their children, Corbin, Myles, Hannah, Charlie, and Isaiah; one grandson, Matthew; an adopted granddaughter, Rachel ; one brother; three half-brothers; four half-sisters, Esther, Barb, Mary, and Evelyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.
