She was born July 5, 1920 the daughter of Herbert and Leta (Brown) Keezer at Oakwood, Ohio. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School. She was united in marriage to Basil Peter in August of 1939. Peter, 88, of Hicksville died at 4:00 pm Thursday March 12, 2009 at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home – Payne, Ohio. She was born July 5, 1920 the daughter of Herbert and Leta (Brown) Keezer at Oakwood, Ohio. She was a graduate of Oakwood High School. She was united in marriage to Basil Peter in August of 1939. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Hicksville and enjoyed playing in numerous card clubs. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Francis of San Jose, CA; a son, C. Lee (Pam) Peter of Hicksville; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a daughter Judi, a sister Laverne Moats and a brother Carl Keezer. The funeral service is Tuesday at 1:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio with Rev. Donald Leckrone officiating. Visitation is Monday 2:00 - 5:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Six Corners Cemetery - Hicksville Township. Memorial contributions are to the donor’s choice.
