Description	:	Mildred L. Marriott, age 93, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born August 6, 1915, in Versailles, Missouri, the daughter of the late Forrest and Nellie Ritchie Marple. On April 16, 1938, in Versailles, she was united in marriage with Henry G. Marriott, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1998. Mildred's first employment was at Bauer and Mallin Apple Orchard, where her father, Forrest Marple was manager for many years. Marriott, age 93, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born August 6, 1915, in Versailles, Missouri, the daughter of the late Forrest and Nellie Ritchie Marple. On April 16, 1938, in Versailles, she was united in marriage with Henry G. Marriott, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1998. Mildred's first employment was at Bauer and Mallin Apple Orchard, where her father, Forrest Marple was manager for many years. She later worked at Tweedie Shoe Factory and Primo Pants Factory, and assisted her husband in running the family farm where they milked cows by hand for many years. She loved her family, cats, dogs, and flowers. She enjoyed talking on the telephone and was a doll collector. She was a member of the Ritchie Baptist Church all her life and attended the First Baptist Church in Versailles after she left the farm. She is survived by six daughters, Lois Woods of Versailles, Kay Thouvenel of Versailles, Mickey Hoskins and husband Tom of Henley, Missouri, Linda Wolfe and husband Terry of Gravois Mills, Diane Hibdon of Blue Springs, and Barbara Karigan and husband Bob of Overland Park, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Claude Marple; her sister, Maude Porter; and three sons-in law, Cloyd Thouvenel, Donald Woods, and Ed Hibdon. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. There will be a visitation from 2-3:00 PM and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery.
