Read More	KIESTER, MILDRED M.—Mrs. Robert M. Kiester of Geneva passed away at the Fillmore County hospital Thursday evening, August 12, 1965, at the age of 67 years and 30 days. She had been hospitalized several weeks due to a heart ailment. Mildred M. Love, daughter of Ira J. Love and his wife, Nora Belle McCashland Love, was born in Denver Col., July 13, 1898. When 12 years of age, she moved with her parents to a farm near Grafton, where she lived until she went to work for the Pierce and Chenoweth firm in Geneva in 1918. After about a year, she started working for the Lincoln Telephone Company, remaining in their employ until 1931. May 25, 1924, she was married to Robert Kiester at the Methodist parsonage in Belleville, Kas. A daughter, Ethel, was born to this union July 30, 1931. Mrs. Kiester attended a country school near Grafton and later the Geneva high school, where she had many friends among her teachers and fellow pupils. During the years which followed, her circle of friendship widened, in the varied activities of the Methodist church, which she joined in childhood, as well as in the Rebekah’s, the Eastern Star, the Royal Neighbors, the Thursday Afternoon Kensington and the Geneva Mother’s club, of which she was a charter member. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. There remain to mourn her passing her husband, Robert; her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Urschel; a sister, Miss Ethel G. Love, three grandchildren, Kimberlee, Scott and Robbie Urschel, together with other relatives and many friends and neighbors. She died as she had lived with faith in Christ. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday, August 17 from First Methodist church, which was filled to capacity. Dr. Everett E. Jackman officiated. Miss Carol Turek sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Beautiful Isle.” Mrs. Willard Foster was accompanist. Pallbearers were William Biba, Orville Dunkin, Kenneth Miller, Leo Starr, John Turek and Joseph Turek. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal August 9th, 1965 page 9.
