Serving as casket bearers were Stanley Rebik, Ernest Pusteoska, Vernon Kovarik, Ed Kaplan, Marvin Cibula, Melvin Cibula, and Lawrence Cibula. Organist for the service was Barbara Cibula and Sylvia Feustal was vocalist. Richard Cibula was the lector and Mass offerings were taken care of by Mrs. Stanley Rebik and Mrs. Donald Upah. Tending to floral arrangements were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wacha and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Upah. Mildred Pusteoska was born July 1, 1913, west of Vining, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Maggie (Ledvina) Cibula. She received her schooling in the area of her birth and grew to womanhood in the same area. On July 5, 1937, she was married to Emil Pusteoska at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vining. The couple always farmed in the Vining area until Mr. Pusteoska's death on January 19, 1970. In April of that year she moved to Tama. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama; CCW of Tama and the Vining Rosary Society. Mildred was an avid flower grower and enjoyed playing cards. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Emil; two sisters and five brothers. Among her survivors are two brothers, Emil of Toledo, Edward of Tama; several nieces , nephews and her sisters-in-laws. [Traer Star Clipper; 4 March 1989]
