She was born November 12, 1916 in Ottumwa to Henry and Theresa O’Connor Hoover. She married Chester G. Boley on December 31, 1939 in Macon, MO. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1976. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had attend Franklin School and Ottumwa High School. She was a homemaker. She had been a member of Willard Street United Methodist Church, Kings Daughters, Ottumwa Regional Health Center Auxiliary and the B-Squares Square Dance Club. Surviving are two sons, Richard (Ruth Ann) Boley of Omaha, NE and Raymond (Diane) Boley of East Pointe, MI; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Dave) Bathke of Laurel, NE, Kristin (Craig) Olson of Omaha, NE, Michael (Ann) Boley of Omaha, NE, Trina Ridgeway of Eldon, Tracy Harness Harney of North Dakota, Robert Boley of Oskaloosa and Trish Keller of Des Moines; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Todd of Golden, CO, Betty Lathrop of Salone, AZ and Donna Henson of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Madeline Coberg, Bernadine Powell and Patricia Day; two brothers, Thomas and William Hoover. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Leila Disburg officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Willard Street United Methodist Church.
