Description	:	Milton Chester married 28 November 1887 to Flora Christy. They were the parents of Perley and Martha Benge. Died Wednesday evening, December 25, 1895 Chester Benge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Benge. Chester had been a sufferer for a long time. He sat up in his chair nearly all day Christmas, but late in the evening about six o'clock he told them to lay him on the bed so he was laid down and in a few minutes was gone-- the spirit had taken its fight to God who gave it. He joined the Baptist church... Read More	Milton Chester married 28 November 1887 to Flora Christy. They were the parents of Perley and Martha Benge. Died Wednesday evening, December 25, 1895 Chester Benge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Benge. Chester had been a sufferer for a long time. He sat up in his chair nearly all day Christmas, but late in the evening about six o'clock he told them to lay him on the bed so he was laid down and in a few minutes was gone-- the spirit had taken its fight to God who gave it. He joined the Baptist church when in his 19 year and has lived a consistent Christian ever since. He was laid away to rest in the cemetery east of town. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn the loss of an affectionate father, a loving kind husband and neighbor. But while we feel our sad loss we know it is his gain for he has gone to a world where no sorrow can come and where the wicked cease from troubling and the weary are at rest. He was 29 years, 6 months, and 3 days old. So ends the life of a good and inoffensive young man. The Saviour whom he trusted here Shall wipe his tears away, No night of darkness shall be there But one eternal day.
