Description	:	HOLTON -- Milton Schirmer Haag, 84, Holton, died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at a Holton hospital. Mr. Haag was a farmer and stockman and also worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He co-owned and operated Haag's Mobile Feed Service for several years. He was born on April 21, 1915, on a farm northeast of Holton, the son of Henry and Laura Schirmer Haag. He graduated from Holton High School in 1934 and lived in the Holton community all his life. Read More	HOLTON -- Milton Schirmer Haag, 84, Holton, died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at a Holton hospital. Mr. Haag was a farmer and stockman and also worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He co-owned and operated Haag's Mobile Feed Service for several years. He was born on April 21, 1915, on a farm northeast of Holton, the son of Henry and Laura Schirmer Haag. He graduated from Holton High School in 1934 and lived in the Holton community all his life. Mr. Haag was a life member of Evangel United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Volunteer Sunday School class and was active as trustee and administrative board member for many years. He was an officer for the National Hereford Hog Association and was a leader for the Lucky Stars 4-H Club in Holton for many years. He married Irma Lucille Higley on July 3, 1936, in Atchison. She survives. Survivors also include a son, Gale Haag, Holton; three daughters, Venita Fiedler, Micheala Abel and Rhetta Sue Wheeler, all of Holton; two sisters, Corrine Burnett, Prairie Village, and Lauretta Vance, Topeka; a brother, Lloyd Haag, Holton; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Evangel United Methodist Church, Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. Mr. Haag will lie in state today and Tuesday at the Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Haag also will lie in state from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Evangel United Methodist Church Building Fund, sent in care of the Kansas State Bank in Holton.
