Description	:	Minerva Hottle was born at Woodstock, Shenandoah county, Virginia, August 12, 1851, and died at Denver, Colorado, May 10, 1925, at the age of seventy-three years, eight months and twenty-eight days. At the age of eleven years she moved with her parents from Virginia to Corydon, Indiana. She grew to womanhood hee and was married to George Stonecipher in September of 1875. To them were born five children, two of whom preceded her in death. The surviving children are Alonzo and Benjamin Stonecipher of Chappell, Nebraska, and Mrs. W.W. Prescott of Denver, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Stonecipher came to Fairmont, Nebraska in 1901, where they lived until about a year ago. Mrs. Stonecipher's health began so seriously to fail, that they broke up housekeeping and she went to a hospital. From this time one, they lived with their children until her death. Everything that loving hands and medical skill could do was done for her comfort. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Besides the three children, there are two brothers, David Hottle of Ohio; and William Hottle of Elmwood, Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. Bogenrief of Elmwood, Nebraska, Mrs. Mary Stonecipher of Corydon, Indiana, Mrs. J.H. Keller of Fairmont, and six grandchildren survive her. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon, May 13, and the remains buried in the Fairmont cemetery. Among those attending the funeral of Mrs. Stonecipher were: Mrs. W.W. Prescott and son, Howard of Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Lon Stonecipher and son, Floyd and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Stonecipher and daughters, Wilma and Garnett of Chappell, William Hottle and Mrs. Jennie Bogenrief of Elmwood and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Sieg and children of Utica.
