Description	:	WARNER, MINNIE A. — Minnie A. Warner was born to William and Lavonia Harper Heller on January 22, 1876, near Thomasboro, Ill. She passed away March 30, 1974, at Heritage of Geneva at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 8 days. Warner was born to William and Lavonia Harper Heller on January 22, 1876, near Thomasboro, Ill. She passed away March 30, 1974, at Heritage of Geneva at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 8 days. In 1893, when she was 17 years of age, the family moved from Illinois to a farm one and a half miles south of Geneva. She taught in rural schools nearby until her marriage to Charles J. Warner on January 31, 1900. They farmed until they moved to town in 1911 where they lived until 1929 when, for eight years, they lived in Lincoln. In 1937 they moved back to Geneva. Their 50th wedding anniversary was observed in 1950. The following year her husband passed away just 23 years ago, on March 29, 1951. She was interested in community affairs and was a loyal Republican. She belonged to the Eastern Star and was a past matron of that order. She was a member of the Congregational church and was a charter member of the O.K. Kensington. She was active in organizations until February 24, 1971, when she was hospitalized. The two charities in which she was very much interested were the Omaha Home for Boys and Cedars Home for Children at Lincoln. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from Farmer-Harris Funeral Home, Geneva, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 1974, with Rev. Vernon D. Jones officiating. Mrs. Alvin Rizer sang “God Understands” and “How Great Thou Art,” accompanied by Mrs. Willard H. Foster. Pallbearers were Chester Dudley, Derrel Hutchens, Harold Gergen, Richard Nunns, Howard Hamilton and Robert Nunns. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. (The Nebraska Signal, 4 April 1974)
