Hackman of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery in Hamilton County. Mrs. Brown died Monday at Mary Greeley Hospital. She was born March 13, 1901 in Boone County to Eric and Hannah Peterson. Mrs. Brown was a lifetime resident of the Ames and Boone area. She attended Boone High School and was graduated from the Iowa Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1924. She was a night supervisor at Mary Greeley, worked as a nurse in California and Illinois, and worked in Ames as a private special duty nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Ray C. Peterson, Boone; and three sisters, Bessie Mae Raine, Ames, Fannie Sheldahl, Des Moines, and Florence Wolf, Boone. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Giltner and Hugh Brown; two brothers, John and Robert Peterson, and a sister, Alice Wilcox. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home Tuesday evening until the services. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Brown's name and contributions may be made at the First National Bank of Ames.
