Description	:	Week at Sciola and Tennille Mrs. Grant King died very suddenly at her home near here last Wednesday evening. Funeral services were held from the home Friday morning. The relatives went to the McClelland Cemetery near Brooks where interment was made. Mrs. Minnie King, nee Bowers, died at her home six miles north of Villisca, Wednesday, July 10, 1912. Miss Minnie Bowers was born in Adams county, north of Nodaway, December 22, 1872, and was united in marriage with Ulysses Grant King July 4, 1892. To this union were born ten children, all living except the oldest daughter, who died in infancy. Mrs. King’s, father and mother both preceded her in death. She was a true and devoted Christian, having been a member of the Christian church. She was always kind and loving and no one was ever known to hear her complain. Those who are left to mourn the death of a loving wife and mother are the husband and nine, children, two brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. One peaceful thought we can always have is that she is safe with her Savior. The funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian church four miles southwest of Brooks by Rev. A. Y. Cupp, assisted by Rev. Carl Clarke, of the M. E. church. May God’s richest blessings be with the bereaved ones. GRANT KING DEAD Mrs. Minnie King, wife of Grant King, died at her home near Sciola, Iowa, Wednesday, July 10, 1912, at about eleven o’clock P.M., of heart trouble. Mrs. King had been a sufferer from heart trouble for some time and for about three weeks had complained of not feeling well, but was not thought to be in a serious condition. Her last sickness lasted only about five minutes. Mrs. King was thirty-eight years, six months, and eighteen days old at the time of her death. She leaves a husband and a family of nine children to suffer the loss of a wife and mother. The eldest of the children is a boy seventeen years old, and the youngest is one and one half years old. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lula Stalder, living south of Nodaway, Iowa, two half brothers Loyd and John Bowers, and one half sister, Miss Frances Bowers. Mrs. King was a member of the Christian Church and was an earnest and willing worker. She was devoted to her family and to them the loss is too great to describe. She was a good neighbor and her death comes as a blow to the community in which she lived. The many friends of the family will be ever ready to lend a helping hand to the bereaved husband and children and all extend their sympathy. The funeral services were held from the Mt.
