The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant King, she was born June 27, 1896, in Adams County, Iowa and was a Villisca resident until 1940, when she moved to Omaha and lived there for 20 years before moving to Red Oak, Iowa. Surviving are five daughter, Grace Finkle of Oxnard, California, Ruby Cromley and Arlene Jones, both of Red Oak, Iowa, Dorothy Fuls of Springdale, Arkansas, and Ada Joyce White, Omaha, Nebraska; son Jay (Buddy) Patterson, Omaha; 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice Newman of Creston, Myrtle Hetland of California, Bea Williams of Murdo, South Dakota, and Grace, last name and address not known. Patterson, of 401 Washington, Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, A[pril 1, 1980 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, after an extended illness. She was born June 27, 1896 in Adams County, Iowa to Ulysses Simpson Grant King and Minnie Angeline Bowers. On March 9, 1914, she was united in marriage to Frank C. Patterson in Villisca, Iowa He preceded her in death on March 18, 1969 They lived in Villisca until 1940 when they moved to Omaha for 20 years before moving to Red Oak. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Grace Finkle, Oxnard, California; Mrs. Ruby Cromley and Mrs. Arlene Jones, both of Red Oak, Mrs. Dorothy Full, Springdale, Arkansas, and Mrs. Ada Joyce White of Omaha, Nebraska; one son, Jay (Buddy) Patterson of Omaha, Nebraska; 29 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Newman, Creston; Mrs. Myrtle Hetland, California; Mrs. Bea Williams, Murdo, South Dakota; and Grace, address unkown. Preceding her in death besides her husband Frank, were two children. Services were held April 7, 1980 at the Nelson Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa with Rev.
