Description	:	ULYSSES GRANT KING Funeral services for Ulysses Grant King of Omaha, formerly of Villisca, were held here Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Joe Tom Tate. Mr. Kind died February 15, 1949 at County Hospital in Omaha, after he fell to the sidewalk in Omaha. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Ulysses Grant King was born January 30, 1869 in Madison County, Iowa, and was 80 years old at his death. He was united in marriage July 4, 1893 to Miss Minnie Bowers, who preceded him in death July 10, 1912. Also two sons, Frank and Willis preceded their father in death. Mr. King lived most of his life in and around Adams County, Iowa and Murdo, South Dakota. For the past 5 1/2 years he lived in Omaha. He is survived by five daughters and two sons. They are George King, Souris, Manitoba, Canada; Jay King, Jefferson, South Dakota; Mrs. Hattie Patterson, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Alice Newman, Creston, Iowa; Mrs. Bernice Williams, Murdo, South Dakota; Mrs. Myrtle Hetland, Reseda, California; and Mrs. Grace Aton, Eaglewood, Colorado. There are also three brothers and one sister, Charlie King, Omaha, Nebraska; Guss King, Shenandoah, Iowa; Howard King, Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Fanny Barker, Manitoba, Canada. His death was attributed to a heart attack. The body was brought to the Wolfe Funeral Home, Villisca, Iowa, where funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 1949, at 2:00 P.M., conducted by the Rev. Joe Tom Tate. Interment will be in the Methodist Grove Cemetery southeast of Nodaway, Iowa. Mr. King is survived by two sons and six daughters, one of whom is Mrs. Frank Patterson of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Villisca, Montgomery County, Iowa.
