Description	:	MRS. MINNIE KRUCKENBERG Minnie Bress, second child of Fred and Dena Bress, was born on June 4, 1895, at Greely, Colo. She was baptized in infancy and became a member of the Methodist church at an early age. She came to Iowa at the age of one year with her parents and settled in Pella. In 1915, they moved to a farm north of Hartley. She was united in marriage to Henry Kruckenberg on February 18, 1920. They lived on their present farm all of their married life. MINNIE KRUCKENBERG Minnie Bress, second child of Fred and Dena Bress, was born on June 4, 1895, at Greely, Colo. She was baptized in infancy and became a member of the Methodist church at an early age. She came to Iowa at the age of one year with her parents and settled in Pella. In 1915, they moved to a farm north of Hartley. She was united in marriage to Henry Kruckenberg on February 18, 1920. They lived on their present farm all of their married life. To this union, three children— Dorothy, Frederick and Herbert were born. She passed away at her home on March 12, 1952, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 8 days. She leaves to mourn her passing, her widower, Henry Kruckenberg; her three children, Dorothy Espey of Ocheyedan, Frederick of Hartley, Herbert of Sutherland, one son-in-law, Curtis Espey, two daughters-in-law, Martha (Mrs. Frederick Kruckenberg) and Delia (Mrs. Herbert Kruckenberg) also six grandchildren. She also leaves 3 sisters and 7 brothers, Kate Morrow, Fred, Jack, Ella Kruckenberg, Herman, Bill, Carl, Henry, Godfred and Dena Doehla, and a host of relatives and friends. Two brothers, one sister, and her parents preceded her in death. She was a long time member of the Rebekah Lodge. Funeral services were conducted at the Funeral home at 1:30 and at the Hartley Methodist church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by her pastor, the Reverend Raymond A. Roloff. Florence Fahlenkamp sang, "God Will Take Care of You" and "He Leadeth Me " accompanied by Mrs. Rolla Allred at the organ. Mrs. Allred also played other appropriate music. Pallbearers were James Byers, C. W. Sauer, Freeman Rost, Fred Dolbeare, Claire Byers and John Fritzer. Page 12 of The Hartley Sentinel, published in Hartley, Iowa on Thursday, March 20th, 1952
