Description	:	Minnie Caroline Meyer was born at Creston, Iowa, October 6, 1870, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stella Graham in Nora, Nebr., January 17, 1927, making her age 56 years, 3 months and 11 days. She came with her parents to Nebraska in 1888, the family settling near Western. On October 22, 1890, she was married to Julius R. Melvin. She came with her parents to Nebraska in 1888, the family settling near Western. On October 22, 1890, she was married to Julius R. Melvin. Their home was blessed with three sons and three daughters: Ervin R. of Angus; Mrs. Stella Graham of Nora; Mrs. Viola Ahrens of Angus; Lawrence H. and Archie R. of Angus and Miss Vella of Nora. Besides her husband, six children and eight grand children, she leaves three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Mary Kracttli of Clay Center, Kansas; Mrs. Lillie Melvin of Angus; Mrs. Ella Zabel of Western; and Samuel Meyer of California. All were present at the funeral except the brother. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin moved from Saline County to their farm home near Angus in 1915, and last April after the death of Mr. Graham, moved to Nora to be with their daughter. Mrs. Melvin accepted her Savior and united with the German Methodist Church when she was eight years old. In 1895 she with her husband joined the United Brethren Church in Christ in which church she lived a faithful and earnest life to the time of her departure. She was always kind and loving to her husband and children. She was forgetful of her own feelings and interests to minister to those whom she loved. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a lovely Christian character. Heaven extended a glad welcome. The funeral services were held from the Angus United Brethren Church, January 19, in charge of Rev. W.H. Mills of Nora, and the body was taken to Edgar for interment. CARD OF THANKS.
