Interment will be in the Fairfax cemetery. ** Sept. 25, 1912; Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette A gloom was cast over the home, the church and her many friends Tuesday by the death of Mrs. Minnie Rinderknecht, only a few hours after a little daughter was born. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Mitchell of Atkins, well known in Cedar Rapids and the community, having lived here all their lives. She was married to Albert Rinderknecht November 22, 1911. He is the oldest son of George Rinderknecht, one of Atkins' leading business men and township clerk. Few persons had brighter prospects before them than this young couple. Theirs had been a happy married life, of course of short duration. Mrs. Rinderknecht's characteristics were: Piety, Christ lived in her; consecration, willing to be and do and suffer for others; self forgetfulness, she lived for others; no one could have been more devoted to her parents, her husband, her church and friends. And if there be a blank in the home and community, it is not because a life has been extinguished forever but transferred to another sphere, to an elevation and purity and perfection of which we see here but the germs and promises. The funeral of Mrs. Rinderknecht took place in Atkins on September 19. The services consisted of prayer at her home by her pastor, then going to the church. Fully a thousand people had gathered to hear the last works and take the last look upon the face of one they all loved. The services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Clatworthy, pastor of the Presbyterian church of which she had been a member for many years, assisted by Rev. Kroag, pastor of the German Lutheran church. The interment was in Fairfax cemetery. She is survived by her husband and little daughter, mother and father and three sisters and many friends.
