Description	:	Minnie Beitelspacher, 89, Bowdle, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Bowdle Hospital. Her funeral service will be 7:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Java, SD, with Pastor Jeffrey Wallace leading the service. Burial will follow the service at the Church Cemetery. Organist will be Carol Fiedler and soloist Sonja Parrish will sing "How great thou Art". The congregation will sing "God loves me dearly" and "Amazing grace, how sweet the Sound". Ushers will be Earl Frank and Carlyle Bieber. Minnie Haux, daughter of Margaret (Mauch) and Jacob Haux, was born at her parent's farm NW of Java on November 6, 1919. She received her formal education at the 16 Highland District rural school. Following her schooling, she stayed and helped on the farm. She married Erhard Beitelspacher on April 6, 1947 at Aberdeen, SD. They lived and farmed at Erhard's homeplace 12 miles SE of Java until November 1, 1997 when they moved into Bowdle. Since November 2003, Minnie lived at the Bowdle Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Java and the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). She also belonged to the Walco Extension Club and was a Farmers Union Youth Leader. Minnie enjoyed gardening and doing farm chores. She will also be well remembered for her homemade pickles and apple pies. Minnie especially enjoyed the frequent visits from her grandchildren. Minnie is survived by 1 son Leroy (Carla) Beitelspacher of Bowdle; 2 daughters-Lonita (Paul) Biedler of Chandler, AZ and Cindy (Lyle) Schock of Bowdle; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father in 1948, her mother on January 9, 1978, her husband on September 28, 2006, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 infant children. Honorary bearers will be Minnie's grandson Ryan Kilber of Chandler, AZ and her great grandchildren. Casketbearers will be Brent Beitelspacher of Gettysburg, SD, Colin Beitelspacher and Emryl Schock of Sioux Falls, SD, and Brandon Beitelspacher, Jeb Schock, and Tara Schock of Bowdle.
