Description	:	Minnie Irene Duey, daughter of Thomas B. and Loretta Peck Dye, was born August 4, 1904, at Webber, Kansas and passed away January 25, 1991 at the Republic County Long Term Care in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 21 days. She received her education in the Rose Hill Grade School and attended Mankato and Superior High School, Peru Teachers College and was a school teacher. She was united in marriage to Joseph L. Duey September 29, 1925 and to this union 7 children were born: Douglas, Don, Dale, Joyce, Irene, Bonnie and Shirley. They were married for 65 years. They moved to the Chester community in 1925 and she was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, belonged to the United Methodist Women, the Extension Club, former 4-H Club leader, Order of Eastern Star of Hebron and formerly belonged to the Rebekah Lodge. Preceding her in death were her parents, Thomas and Loretta Dye, one infant son and three brothers, Charlie, Vern and George. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, of the home; two sons, Douglas Duey and wife Dorothy of Lincoln and Don Duey of Chester; four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Hall and husband Clifton of Lincoln, Mrs. Irene Austin and husband Stanley of Bellevue, Ne., Mrs. Bonnie Beall and husband Clyde of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Shirley Duey of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29, 1991 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Chester, Nebraska conducted by Reverend Randy Dilts. Singers were Mrs. Jack Long and Mrs. Everett Roop. Organist was Mrs. Dolan Frye. Casket bearers were Gordon Duey, Gregory Duey, Brian Austin, Marc Austin, Brooks Beall, James Beall and Jeremy Beall. Honorary casket bearers were Margaret Chisholm, Kristi Hall, Wilbert Crouse, Doyall Hartley, Kim Hall, Janet Key, Hubert Skucius, Bill Moore, and Willard Mettler.
