She died at her home in Nelson Wednesday, April 2, at the age of 80 years and 7 months. The daughter of Charles R. and Mabel C. Young, she was born in Elroy, Ill., Aug. 25, 1905. She and her family moved to Nebraska in 1914, and she lived in the Nelson area the remainder of her life. She was baptized in the Methodist Church at an early age. Sept. 26, 1926, she was married to Hubert L. Carman in Mankato. To this union two daughters were born. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and a sister, Alice Flower. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dwain Keller (Dorothy) of LaMesa, Calif., and Mrs. Junior Glasson (Shirley), Nelson; brother, Bruce Young, Clay Center; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandsons. The Rev. Richard Markland officiated at the services. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
